I design experiences that transform products, platforms, and ideas into moments of connection that leave both people and the planet better than before.

About Me
I’m Jessie Portlock, a brand and marketing strategist with twenty years of experience helping companies tell their stories and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways. My work lives at the crossroads of creativity, strategy, and purpose, where brands become movements and good ideas grow roots.
My career began at Barnes & Noble, where I managed community relations and built partnerships that brought books, schools, and neighborhoods together. I loved turning a retail space into a gathering place, leading fundraisers, organizing storytimes, and launching early digital programs that gave back as much as they sold. That work taught me the foundation of everything I do now: that connection and commerce should serve each other.
From there, I built a company that supported artists, filmmakers, and creative venues. It was a wild, electric time helping local talent find their audience, craft their image, and make art sustainable. I learned how brand strategy and storytelling could lift entire communities when done with care.
Eventually, I joined a digital marketing agency and led multiple teams across strategy, creative, and client management. I found my stride in helping brands grow with intention turning insights into campaigns that moved people and strengthened loyalty.
Today, I run my own consultancy focused on sustainability and mission-driven brands. I’ve partnered with companies like Lummi Island Wild, Underwood Wine Co., Lady Jaye, and Street Treats. Helping each articulate their story, expand their reach, and build loyal communities around what they believe in.
What drives me is simple: I love helping good brands find their voice. Whether it’s launching a new product, opening a storefront, or reimagining a legacy, I work with clients who want to grow with integrity and inspire lasting connection.
